CWHW is currently collaborating with other entities on campus to create a Women’s Collaborative group.

Both informal and formal survey data support the need for community and support for women faculty, staff, and students. Additionally, various department, school, and university initiatives or committees have either addressed or are currently addressing issues of work life balance and gender and race inequities. These factors have a significant impact on workplace satisfaction, productivity, and progress to promotion and tenure, and typically affect women more than men.

In response, CWHW will plan to offer both formal and informal networking events for women faculty, staff and students to build community, network, and support one another personally and professionally. Please check our Events page regularly for upcoming networking opportunities.

To foster a community of scholars and practitioners in women’s health and wellness, the Center will offer 1-2 informal networking events each semester. These events will encourage communication and collaboration on shared interests, often held alongside research or educational events (e.g. Fall Lecture Series and Spring Research Forum). Additionally, in partnership with HealthyUNCG, monthly table talks on women’s health and wellness-related topics will be available.

If you are a UNCG student and would like to learn more about opportunities to engage with the Center, visit the student engagement page.
