RESEARCH PRIORITIES aND Initiatives
We investigate the biological, psychological, and social factors that shape girls’ and women’s health across the lifespan. Our work focuses on the development of lifelong healthy habits, with particular attention to the contextual influences and barriers that affect physical activity and well-being, especially in underserved communities.
FACULTY ENGAGEMENT
Engaging faculty from diverse backgrounds and disciplines is central to our core values and advancing our mission and strategic initiatives.
Research EVENTS
The Center for Women’s Health and Wellness supports research-focused events that highlight women’s health and wellness scholarship, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and create opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and community partners to engage with current research.
AFFILIATE RESEARCH LABS
CWHW collaborates with multiple research laboratories across campus to understand the facilitators and barriers that influence injury, illness and disease processes, and that promote mental and physical well‐being in girls and women
SPECIAL INTERESTS GROUPS
Special interest groups bring together faculty and community partners to connect around shared research interests in women’s health. These groups foster networking, spark interdisciplinary collaborations, and support the development of impactful research and grant proposals.
