Internship and Independent Study
INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
CWHW welcomes both graduate and undergraduate UNCG student interns interested in learning more about women’s health and wellness, and applying that knowledge by engaging in Center activities. Internships in CWHW can take many forms.
Some internships are departmentally based and are a part of a degree program, where other internships are the result of professional, self-directed interest. CWHW offers limited internship opportunities for the fall and spring semesters.
Here are some examples of potential internship opportunities that align with our strategic initiatives:
- Research Assistant
- Active Girls Healthy Girls Collaborator

INDEPENDENT STUDY
Independent studies through the Center for Women’s Health and Wellness give students the chance to pursue research or other self-directed projects under the guidance of a CWHW faculty member. These experiences are student-driven and must align with the Center’s current research priorities or strategic initiatives.
All independent study proposals must be approved by the supervising faculty member. If you’re interested in developing a project, please reach out directly to the CWHW team member whose work aligns with your interests to start the conversation.
