ACE WOMEN’S NETWORK SPEAKER SERIES

October 26, 2021 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Dr. Tammi Vacha-Hasse will join us on Tuesday October 26 from 3:00-4:30 pm in NIB 510 and also on zoom (link TBA).

Dr. Tammi Vacha-Haase is Dean of the Graduate College at Boise State University, the largest graduate school in Idaho. Since joining the leadership of Boise State in 2016, she has established several transdisciplinary doctoral programs, added 15 new master’s programs, and reimagined student recruitment. Dr. Vacha-Haase is currently an ACE Fellow, a nationally recognized program for emerging leaders in higher education. For her immersion semester, she is working with Chancellor Gilliam and the UNCG leadership team to observe leadership style, crisis management, decision-making, and budget management. The title of Dr. Vacha-Hasse’s talk is “You can have it all… Just not at the same time” and she says: In my presentation I plan to share my journey to this point, highlighting critical moments, challenges and opportunities, and reflections. I’ll make sure to touch on topics such as mentoring, leadership, and navigating both your professional and personal life.

The Women’s Network Leadership Mentoring initiative will pair experienced senior leaders at UNCG with those who are new to their leadership positions or who aspire to higher levels of leadership. Interested mentors and mentees should complete this google form.

As always, please let us know your ideas and inspirations related to women’s leadership. More information about the network can be found at https://acewomensnetwork.uncg.edu/.
